Property description:
The Farmhouse, originally a C13th monastery, typifies the traditional Sicilian “masseria” with a splendid courtyard to which comfortable rooms communicate, and a dining room magically unifying all, especially with its authentic Sicilian fragrances and flavours, a cuisine based upon exclusively biological products served with a variety of wines including Nero d’Avola.

The Cuisine:
Our highly skilled chefs recognised by International guides including the Michelin, Gambero Rosso and Veronelli provide high quality, carefully prepared food and personal service. A good meal begins with choice ingredients which are all biologically selected for your pleasure and cooked respecting Sicilian traditions in abundant servings brought to the table by elegant and efficient waiters.
The Service:
Our blue damask table cloths delicately designed in gold and pearl grey, the goblet styled glasses combined with Sicilian baroque styled cutlery and tasteful porcelain dinnerware topped off by silver candelabra in the centre of the tables all create an elegant and harmonious setting. Our service is impeccable for wedding banquets with a waiter available for every 18-20 people. Upon request they are also available for catering in other villas or historical places.
The Wine:
Nero d’Avola a wine produced by the Gigliotto Estate with its distinct personality accompanies game and meat dishes. Whereas the fish menu requires the perfumed fragrance of the Inzolia white. Both are produced by traditional and biological methods.
The Swimming Pool
A splendid 20 metre swimming pool surrounded by a stone paved solarium suspended above a panorama of rolling hills and valleys, upon request in this setting buffets, aperitifs, dinners and desserts can be organised to your satisfaction.
Location description:
Surrounded by green hills, not far from the volcanic slopes of Etna, Agriturismo Gigliotto, stands upon a marvellous mount suspended between time and space. This fief of 300 hectares of fertile land cultivated in the ancient peasant tradition is situated in the centre of the land of the sun making it ideal for trips to Taormina, Agrigento, Siracusa, Noto, Ragusa and Ibia.
Gigliotto is intimately embraced by tourist sites boasting culture, history and fame, including Piazza Armerina with its Villa Imperiale del Casale, Caltagirone famous world-wide for its magnificent majolica production and historical centre and not forgetting Morgantina the largest classical Greek town featuring an agora and magnificent theatre outside of Greece.

--from the autostrada Pa-Ct (Palermo-Catania), exit at the motorway for Enna
--continue in the direction towards Piazza Armerina
--do not exit at Piazza Armerina, but continue for another 10 km past Piazza Armerina in the direction towards Gela

--Gigliotto is at your immediate right
